    How We Do Things

    PRICING

As industry experts, we understand the importance of identifying challenges and opportunities in the pre-purchase phase of a project. While chutes are simple in concept, there are many variants. Specifiers, architects, detailers, manufacturers, and installers use the same names and descriptions for different things. Western makes buying easy. You provide access to your contract documents and we will provide price, snips, cut sheets and recommendations with alternates. We are happy to review competitors quotes, with or without the price, to ensure you are comparing apples to apples and not vinegar. Your trust is more valuable than any single order, and we have been earning it for many years!

    INSTALLATION

The installation of Western Chutes, Compactors & Recycling Systems products could not be simpler. Our chutes are custom fabricated to each customers’ field verified project dimensions, creating a true Plug & Play system anyone with the ability to anchor or fasten a frame to the floor can install. In fact, our intake door electrical interlock, chute cleaning, and some compactor system products are named “Plug & Play”!

Chute installation does not require any trimming, cutting, or even screwing sections of chute together. The NFPA 82 Standard on Incinerators and Waste and Linen Handling Systems and Equipment specifically prohibits screws penetrating a chute! The chute sections (pieces), typically two per floor, slip into each other by hand and are held in place with a gravity compression fitting. These stack up through the building from the bottom up with a support point at each floor level. This also applies to discharge doors, vents, and offsets. Once the surrounding walls are finished, simply snap on the embossed stainless-steel trim, and the chute system is finished.

To ensure the simplest of installations while maintaining both code and UL compliance. The chutes are delivered with the adjustable intake doors attached, sound dampening applied, fire sprinklers, flushing head, and all other accessories installed on the chute ready for chute installation. Even the electrical interlocks are a 24vac Class 2 Plug & Play system with prefabricated UL listed cables. No Sheet Metal, Plumbing, Sprinkler, or Electrical permits, or professional trade training are required to install a chute.

Compactors and recycling systems are just as simple. Place the equipment, anchor it down, connect the hydraulic hoses and Plug & Play cable connection to the power pack (when ordered separately) where we have an additional Plug & Play port to sync the equipment with the chute intake doors! The electrician lands the power in the control panel and you are ready for startup!
